Nash Holos with Paulette MacQuarrie PDF Print E-mail

Nash Holos Ukrainian Roots Radio is a unique variety show showcasing Ukrainian culture with a distinctly Canadian flavour.

It features contemporary and traditional Ukrainian music, Ukraine News Outlook with Keith Perron, and a wide range of topics that appeals to listeners interested in the Ukrainian cultural scene in Canada, Ukraine and elsewhere in the world.

The program is produced and hosted by Paulette (“Pawlina”) Demchuk MacQuarrie, a second-generation Canadian of Ukrainian extraction. As a “born-again Ukrainian" she has spent all her adult life pursing and sharing her passion for her heritage culture.

She made her radio debut in 1990 when Nash Holos first went on the air, co-hosting it until 1996 when it went off the air.

In 2000 Paulette brought Nash Holos back to the airwaves at AM1320 Vancouver, where she met Keith. After reconnecting in late 2009, Nash Holos was syndicated on PCJ Radio in early 2010.

Paulette also hosts Media Network Plus with Keith, PCJ's weeky roundup of media news.

Nash Holos continues to air in Vancouver as well as in Nanaimo on 101.7FM. Details at the show's website.

The PCJ edition on Nash Holos is now available on STITCHER:
